UP Dalnet Web Site Policies

The UP Dalnet website:

  1. was created June 27, 1999 and is property of UP Dalnet, IRC
  2. is an auxiliary source of information for channel UP, Dalnet server, IRC.
  3. will provide web pages that will display the EB pictures. The EB pictures posted will be under the discretion of the site managers. However such management is subject to restraints of personal privacy.
  4. will provide more information about UP Dalnet members who take advantage of online utilities such as write-up submission forms, image maps and other tools provided within the site.
  5. will inform visitors about upcoming UP Dalnet channel related activities such as EBs, parties, gatherings and other similar events
  6. will remain unbiased amidst internal channel conflicts.
  7. will not post matters of external events such as politics, opinionated accounts or announcements, personal agendas and the like. Likewise, the site will not post any offensive, distasteful or extraneous matters nor will it tolerate any such in-sourced information for posting.

The UP Dalnet web site managers:

  1. may revise the site accordingly, at their own discretion. They can add or remove any site functions, features and utilities.
  2. may not alter in any way any in-sourced documents, data or  information (personal write-ups, guest book entries, etc.) as provided by site visitors. They may, however, improve upon and enhance any pictures provided such alterations do not spoil, distort or misrepresent the original images. Text entries containing typos or similar errors for online posting may also be corrected.
  3. may withhold, deny and reject any in-sourced information for online posting at their discretion, should they deem the submission offensive, impertinent, ineffectual or dissenting with the standards of information postings.
  4. are directly liable to any and all SOPs and UP Dalnet founder.
Personal Privacy Statement
  1. The site managers have the right to decide on which data (pictures, written information, etc.) should be posted on the site. However, the site managers are obliged to respect the rights of personal privacy.
  2. Should a UP Dalnet member wish to have his or her personal data (pictures, written information, etc.) removed from the UP Dalnet web site, the site managers are obliged to remove the said items.
  3. Items such as personal data (pictures, written information, etc.) removed from the site may not be re-posted without the concerned person's approval.
  4. If any UP Dalnet member wishes to have previous data (pictures, written information, etc.) reposted on the site, the site managers are obliged to do so, provided that the data is still accessible.
  5. The site managers may not, in any way disclose (share, divulge or reveal) information to other persons or organizations unless the relevant person has been informed and has authorized such disclosure. This includes uploading pictures and/or personal information to another party, identifying the faces behind the IRC nicknames as provided in picture sets, linking images to write-ups without the person's consent, disclosing required email addresses, contact numbers or other personal information, among others.
UP Dalnet Email group policies

The UP Dalnet email group:

  1. serves as a medium to provide the latest information on any and all UP Dalnet channel and web site news.
  2.  will not tolerate spam. Email entries such as jokes, forwards, and other similar unsolicited mail will not be allowed within the email group.
  3.  is free, and anyone may join.

The UP Dalnet email group manager:

  1. has the right to approve, withhold or reject any entries that violate the abovementioned policies of the UP Dalnet email group.
  2. may remove, without any prior notice any member of the UP Dalnet email group who has violated the abovementioned policies.
